Buncky Pezzini

from Villa Crocialoni, Italy

Buncky Pezzini Patricia "Buncky" Pezzini was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.  She was received a degree at Villa Duchesne, a finishing school in New York City in French Cuisine. At one time she worked for CBS in New York City.  After moving to Italy as a young woman, Buncky married Marcantonio Pezzini, a family name that is traced back to 1345, and has since then raised her family at Villa Crocialoni. The estate includes a lovely pool in the front and a private chapel where their children were married and their grandchildren were baptized. Now you can often hear the delightful patter of her grandchildren.  Crocialoni means paths that cross in the woods. Students at the school find these paths enjoyable for relaxation, exploring nature and for exercise.

Buncky, with over 40 years of Tuscan culinary experience, teaches Tuscan cuisine with the natural, organically grown and raised products from their estate. The recipes go with the season. She works hand in hand with Marcantonio to bring the best of Tuscany to the students. The school began at the insistence of family, friends and bed and breakfast clients who had tasted her cooking and watched her prepare it. Not only does Buncky love sharing her love and knowledge of food, she also brings delights in sharing their genteel atmosphere in the quiet of the countryside with a home filled with family antiques. Her classes are tailored to meet the needs and desires of the clients - catering to food likes and dislikes and arranging for special tours.
